My homeless project, and some more art
I meant to blog more about it this week, but a cold I suspect I got after my stay overnight at the Lighthouse slowed me down. In the picture, I’m interviewing one of the Lighthouse volunteers the night I stayed there.
I’m working on the print version for Sunday’s paper now. This afternoon I had a fascinating follow-up interview with Pastor Dale Fitch at the Lighthouse. It’s absolutely tremendous what he’s accomplishing at the church and I can’t wait to tell you more about it.
In the meantime, I’m also working on the new art of the blog’s header. We hope to send that to the programmers to change it soon.
While you’re waiting, here are a couple of other drawings I’ve done over the years:
This one’s another in a series on my Dad.
And this one’s of my longtime friend from college, Maria.
We were at the “Peace Festival” the afternoon I took the picture that provided the source material for this drawing. That was about a million years ago. It was a pretty boring concert, as I recall, but I got some cool drawings out of it…
